Babes In the Woods Eatery in Galiano Island

Came to this place right as it opened. Server was quite good and super nice. I personally had the capicola and mushroom pizza and by far it was possibly the best pizza I've ever had. Coffee was locally roasted and simply amazing to have first thing in the morning. I think next time I'm back on Galiano I will visit this place again. Great stuff all around.

Slow SLOW slow. There was only one other table in the restaurant. Luckily we were not that hungry and had the time to wait. Time runs differently on the island i guess.When we asked for no jalapenos on the pizza the server/cook got confused and add extra. Disapointed with communication. Then told to pick out the jalapenos ourselves. These are all things i can live with tho. Overall the food was delicious and affordable. So you get what you pay for.

Where to start. You order a burger to go and you get three nugget potatoes chopped in fours and some paprika sprinkle on it to pass as fried. Soooo bad. But the Angus burger was really good. But unfortunately if you don't eat it right when you get it the bottom of the pretzel bun is soggy. Do not get the salmon corn chowder. All it is is canned soup with salmon in it not so good. Kids did not say much about their food. Thank goodness we don't live there

Service with an attitude and had to wait over an hour for our pizza. When we asked how much longer it was going to be, the one server ignored the question and said in quite a condescending tone “I can’t rush it”. Pizza turned out fine but the service impacted my opinion of this place, big time.

Food was good and the lady that served us was very good and friendly. Area is comfortable too

Not too many choices on galiano, so with that in mind it's pretty cool how they remain uncompromising in their quality!

Friendly staff and an eclectic pizza menu (peanut satay pizza, anyone?). The owner likes craft beer and consequently stocks a varied, but limited, selection. Walking distance to the ferry.

Welcome to Babes i the woods sorry that i didn't take any pictures. when you want good food Babes is where you should head for dinner lunch or just ha e the best pizza you will every eat .when you talk about service they know it from the server to the cooks . they are sooooooo amazing. please tips them they work hard for you. ps see you guys when i come to do more houses on the beautiful island

A bit pricey but salmon tacos were good.

Food ok, good pizza we had the BBQ chicken pizza . Bland salmon chowder and a good half size green salad. ok service. Prices reasonable. Not a bad stop , but not the best either. The area is full of cute little placed. The closing times are extremely early with some places, so check before you go.

Pizza was really sub par. Server made excuses rather than provide solutions so I guess service was sub par too. Would avoid if possible. Pour experience overall

My boyfriend and I got takeout from here a couple days ago and I'm still dreaming about the pizza we had! We got the BBQ salmon pizza and a half fresh, half curried vegetable pizza. All 3 flavours were UNREAL! We will definitely come back here next time we are in Galiano. Best pizza EVER!

Rave! Such great pizza, loved it. Would definitely come back. Good beer selection as well. Saw them making the pizza dough in the back - you know it's fresh! Excellent friendly server who gave us a steer on what to eat. Chatted with the owner who was really nice.

This was our favourite place to eat on Galiano Island. They had a great bottled beer selection and perfect pizzas. A great place for all ages, make sure you leave room for the salted caramel cheesecake in a mason jar!

Delicious food! The staff does the absolute best they can but when there is a rush, be prepared to wait. The wait will be worth it.

Incredible pizza and so many interesting flavours! My friends and I ordered one of each kind to share, and we were not disappointed. The barbeque chicken, pulled pork and jalapeno, and thai peanut pizzas were particularly delicious. We will definitely be back next time we are on Galiano.

This place the best pizza and baked fries. They do not deep fry anything. All fresh and original. Even the Ceasars are unique! Try the soup too.

Top notch service, super amazing community! We came here with our friends, got to know their friends and their friends' friends. Really awesome place to feel the community vibe :)

Good food and service

This place made a wonderful soup from a nice pumpkin squash I brought them. Quiet at the time, but can get busy before ferry time, always a favorite, Thanks again to Lisa

Casual atmosphere with good food and beer and friendly service. The pulled pork pizza was the perfect mix of sweet and savory with a bit of heat from the pickled jalapeños. A great stop at the end of our trip on Galiano!

Yummy food. Somewhat original as the hvevous rancheros was on some nice pizza crust. Cute and cozy and the service was friendly and helpful.

The place is okay, but I don't think it deserves the high rating it receives here. We ordered Galiano pizza and it was overcooked. Quesadillas were okay. Ice cream was rather overpriced ($8.5 for a 100ml + cream). I suggest to walk down to the ferry terminal and get ice cream at the little food track: it was $6 for 200ml there.

Some of the best food on the island, and off it too! Their pizzas beat any chain restaurants hands down.

Their gluten-free pizza is absolutely killer. And awesome tacos too. Great small restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Great breakfasts as well. Very close to many other shops and amenities on the island, and within walking distance of the ferry terminal.

The best food we had on the island! Cool homey place with very friendly people and amazing pizza and cheesecake. So good we had to come back a second time!

Most delicious pizza a person can order and then eat.

Food here was really good! Our group had the blackened chicken quesadilla and the chicken club. The quesadilla was really yummy and came with a small portion of rice and a spring salad. The chicken club was on a pretzel style bun and came with some seasoned potato wedges. Everyone was happy with their meal and would recommend to anyone visiting Galiano!

The service was great. There was only one employee towards the end of the day, and she was friendly and helpful with suggestions.The angus burger was fantastic. 4/5 due to the slightly chilly temperature of the room (it's October, but we had to leave our coats on, and my date was freezing the whole time). Will definitely be back to try the pizza!

It's relaxed. Expect a slower pace of service. Still good though! Feature quesadillas are very tasty. Mine had wild salmon and black bean! (~$15)

Best pizza around, always a treat.

We were recommended this place during our visit so gave it a try. Ordered chicken tacos and a bacon n pineapple pizza. Tacos were chewy and appeared microwaved , and found a toothpick hidden in the chicken. Thankfully before I skewered my mouth on it. Pizza would have been decent had the crust been cooked and not doughy. The worst part was the service. She took 10 minutes to even come get the order n forgot it immediately . We watched one customer get up and leave after he waited 15 min with no acknowledgment. Watched her forget another customer order when she repeated latte about 10 times. Then when we went to pay she forgot completely what we ordered again n had to tell her so she could ring it up. Very disorganized.
